Provision for children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability)

At North Rigton Church of England Primary School we aim to give all children equal access to teaching and learning. We plan for continuity and progression in our school and upon transfer to secondary education. We recognise the entitlement of all pupils to a broad and balanced curriculum. Our SEND policy reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive. The Governing Body ensures that appropriate provision is made for all pupils with SEND.

The Local Offer

The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including health and social care. Knowing what information and services are available gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for you and your child. Information about the North Yorkshire Local Offer can be found on the following link:

The School SEND information report outlines what we offer our children so that they have equal access to the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
